
Richard Walker was born in Hillsboro, Texas, in 1923. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1944. He was a Greek scholar who studied at Harvard University, where he earned his STB and STM majoring in N.T. Greek. He married Helen Elaine Hinds in 1944. The Lord blessed them with five children who all love the Lord: Sheryl (Black), Gary, Archie, Winnie (Worley), and Harold. They were also blessed with twelve grandchildren and numerous great-granchildren.
Richard and Elaine worked for the Lord in the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Greece, Norway, India, and Bulgaria. Upon returning to the United States from full-time overseas mission work, Richard and Elaine made their home in Lubbock, Texas. There, Richard wrote several books and other assorted writings, which are compiled on this website.
Richard and Elaine were married for 64 years at the time of Elaine’s passing in 2008. Richard passed away in 2018. They left behind an enduring legacy of humble service to the Lord.
