Introduction by Richard Walker:
My wife and I retired from fulltime work as missionaries in 1989 and moved to Lubbock, Texas. Our son, Dr. Gary Walker, who has spent much time in India, suggested that I write a simple Bible Course for friends in India, who may be looking at Jesus seriously for the first time.
Cross-cultural communication is difficult, of course. For that reason, I have tried to avoid references to things that are peculiar to the culture where I live. I have given considerable thought to the best way to put the message of Jesus in terms that would be understandable anywhere in the world. I hope that I have been able to do that.
